Who's going to this concert in Hassentag?

But it seems it's a festival or something like that ? of the Hessen area ? I bought my ticket it's only 39 euros. I chose to go there because I had bought a ticket for Mochengladbach and wanted to go to Trier, which was just the day after (29 th May).
And after seeing the seating map of Trier I chose not to go to Trier cos there's a big standing area and the seated places are far away from the stage I think.
And as Mochengladbach was just the day before, time is too short to get to Trier and be early for the standing places
So I chose to go to Stadtallendorf. But i'm afraid they"ll sing less songs there
Who has information about that and about this place and the Hessentag event ? thanks

it should be a full concerts. Hessentag (we do have severals states within Germany, one is Hessen) takes place every year in another "city" in Hessen. They always have big bands there on several days. This whole event took place over a week. E.g. Bon Jovi was even there some years before, and so on. There will be other bands, the same day and others, besides a-ha. But your ticket will be only for a-ha. It will be such "cheap" as its a big event. Guess about 20.000 tickets and more. And those "Hessentag events" are most of the times "cheaper" Sponsored from local radio stations.

This year it´s in Stadtallendorf, which is a smaller town, about 1.15 h to the North of Frankfurt (you will see the landscape of germany ;-))

Forget to say. For me it´s a bit crazy as I came from this area (about 30km away...) and my hometown is even called Allendorf (another one). I drove today to that area (no big city around, the biggest (but even a students city) is Marburg. Maybe this should be a place to sleep for you all. And I guess the best will be to go by train or even better to rent a car to go there. It´s in the landscape of Germany :)

I plan to do a gig weekend: Monchengladbach, Trier and this one. No seats here? So it's still interesting to buy a ticket and have a shot at a good spot?

No seats for this gig. Only standing.

So... now I've bought 3 tickets (and 2 for Oslo in 2010) I'm going to have to find a way to tell hubby and have him not get angry at me. good suggestions anyone?
By the way, maybe more people are doing the 3 gig weekend trip like me, maybe we should see if it's a good idea to team up, travel together (and split costs) or whatever?

Did you take a seated ticket or standing in Trier ??
I find the seated tickets are far from the stage.
I'm doing two dates for this German tour.
I 'm waiting for other dates announced for other countries . I would like to do another gig (in about September preferably it should be good and maybe Paris if they come back lol). It will make 3 and 2 for Oslo. And I think will will stop at this point lol

yep I noticed the seats far from the stage too so I took a standing one.
I plan to travel by car and it seems Trier-Monchengladbach are 3-4 hours apart. I can do that methinks!

You have to go to the bank to send the money too?
I would have liked to pay by credit card though .

nope didn't succeed in buying one yet. Every time I try to register it says 'sorry something went wrong, we've been notified about this issue and look into it shortly'
Sent an email last night and hope to get it sorted out ASAP

it's annoying! But not in despair yet! Sandra mentioned 20.000 tickets. I'm bound to make one of those mine heh heh Standing tickets, I have time, no prob!
Maybe the site is having difficulties because of the many people trying to purchase one
I'll just keep trying and emailing. Going to stalk them so bad they'll personally handdeliver a bunch of backstage passes to me if I just stop bothering them!
