Hello

Thank you for the links. What I wouldn't give for a Rosetta Stone Norwegian language course. Hopefully some kind generous soul will give us the scoop on what they are saying. Always good to see them anyway.

The first intereview is about starting to speak norwegian again and they feel so clumsy when they have to start communicating in Norwegian again. Magne says it does not help to start with hello Birngham, he tried it in three cities now and it worked best in Birmingham.

the second link is about how the decision about quiting came up, Morten says it was difficult. And Magne says it is hard to quit something that is good. But it feels good to quit when they are on a wave up like now.
The reporter, Per Sundnes, askes Paul about the success of the last record and that it is a muscial top on their careere. He just says thank you, And that they will do what they do and that a-ha takes much time but they will still working with music one way or the other. But all three of them agree that a-ha takes much time.
The reportar ask about the reactions about the decision , and Magne says so far nobody has applauded it but most of them think it is a brave descison. It is easy in a long "marriage" that some kind of misunderstanding lead to a break up, so if feels good to do this when they are on top.To set a frame around this is also good. Next year seems to be a quite big year for us.
Magne says we have one year with stop time. Next tour will be diffrent from this says Morten.
With one year of tour they ahead they only want to have fun on tour the next year. But it is good to see the end of the tunnel and finally get freedom.
They are asked if they will do a Kjell Bekkelund. a famous norwegian pianist why did many farewell tours. They just laugh and say they have been good keeping their words in the past, and want to do that in the future also.

The last one is about donkeboy and they have said a-ha have been a big inspiration for them. So a-ha find it cool to introduce them to a new and bigger audience.

Yes Magne, it does rather work a little better when you are actually in Birmingham  :hehe:

Thank very much for translating Karl Max. A nice relaxed interview where we find out a little more about the band and the decision to split. I love the fact that Magne said hello Birmingham in all the UK cities! It makes a nice change for him to fluff his line than Morten, not that Morten wasn't doing his best to stay in the line-fluffing limelight :D

Thanks again.
I know that I'll need this for the rest of my life...

They did not use those exact words, but it was a question about how they felt about to finally get the freedom after finishing a-ha. And the summery of their quit long answer was as I see it that they felt that not beeing a part of a-ha anymore would release time for other projects, because a-ha was a project which they need to spend much time on.

Thanks for the translation. I think that saying a-ha takes a lot of their time really isn't new info...I think it just hits us a little bit more knowing they are retiring in a year.
